Ford is the largest marque in our range — 157 designs, spanning muscle cars, SUVs, hatchbacks and saloons across six decades. That breadth is the good news and the problem: there is almost certainly a Ford for you, and there are 156 others to choose from.

This guide narrows it. It covers what the Ford range actually contains, how to pick a size, where each type of piece works, and how to get from 157 options to one.

What Ford outlines we make

The Ford range falls into four visual groups. Knowing which group a design belongs to tells you most of what you need to know about how it will look on a wall.

  • Muscle and performance. Long, low, fastback profiles. These read well at every size and are the most forgiving on a small wall.
  • SUVs and trucks. Upright, tall, boxy. These need height as much as width and look best at 100 cm and above.
  • Hatchbacks and small cars. Short, compact, simple. Excellent at 50 cm and 80 cm, lost at larger sizes.
  • Saloon and estate. Middling proportions, formal shapes. These are the hardest to place, because they neither dominate nor recede.

Three Ford silhouettes, three different jobs

Choosing the right size

Ford pieces behave differently by group:

  • Muscle: 100 cm minimum. Below that, the long profile loses its sense of length.
  • SUV and truck: 120 cm or 140 cm. These are tall shapes and need the height.
  • Small cars: 50 cm or 80 cm. A Fiesta at 140 cm looks like a mistake.
  • Saloon and estate: 100 cm. Enough to read as a formal shape, not so much that it dominates.

Room and placement ideas

Match the group to the room:

  • Garage: any Ford group works. Muscle and SUV pieces are the strongest here because they suit the scale of the space.
  • Living room: muscle or a single SUV piece at 120 cm, centred above the sofa.
  • Home office: a small Ford piece at 50 cm or 80 cm beside the desk, not behind it.
  • Hallway: small cars only. A long muscle profile in a narrow hallway will feel like it is bulging.

Care and mounting

All Ford pieces are the same 2 mm steel with a matte black powder coat, so the care routine is identical across the range:

  • Dust with a dry microfibre cloth. No water, no solvents.
  • Fix into studs where possible; use appropriate plugs for masonry or plasterboard.
  • Hang with a vertical centre around 150 cm in living spaces.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.

How to narrow the range

From 157 to one, in three questions:

  1. Which Ford did you or someone you are buying for actually own? That answer beats every other consideration.
  2. Is the wall it is going on tall or wide? Tall walls take SUVs and trucks; wide walls take muscle and saloons.
  3. How far will people stand from it? More than three metres needs a larger size and a simpler outline.

If none of the 157 is right, browse by body style instead — the same design logic applies across every marque we cut.
